Together We can Make a Difference

Like many of you I have voted in every election and when things didn't go like I had hoped when I voted would mumble and gripe and go about my average every day life. But it has gotten to a point where I can no longer just gripe to friends and family and feel like I need to make my voice heard today as this country is pointed in a direction that I know is making our Founding Fathers spin in their graves. It is time for everyone else out there like me to stand up and say enough is enough. It's time to take an active roll by calling and writing our representatives and letting them all know that their current behavior is unacceptable. They were sent there to represent us and NOT their own self-serving interests as they line their pockets with special interest money and stuff their faces with fine dining paid for by lobbyists. It's time to work on new candidates' races to replace those who "don't worry about the Constitution" let alone what we their constituents want.

Don't mistake this as an anti-Obama sentiment because both sides of the aisle are failing us. One side wants to use their majority to cram legislation down our throats while the other sits in a corner repeating "NO" over and over. Grid lock is killing this country with real unemployment at 17% and another 15% of our people under-employed and the best our government can do is throw billions of dollars at the problem without even moving the needle a millimeter. Then to make matters worse this current administration wants to add billions in new taxes to further cloud the current business climate keeping companies from taking risks and expanding their businesses which would create much needed jobs. They keep acting like they need to punish those big bad businesses but do not realize that those businesses are what keep this country moving and its people employed. If they keep pushing these businesses they can easily pack it up and establish their business in any country with today's global economy.

It is time we all stand up and make our voices heard. Pick up the phone or pick up a pen and make your feelings known. We are at a cross roads as a country and it is going to take all of us to insure the right road is taken.
